What AC Replacement Actually Involves
AC replacement makes sense once an air conditioner has aged past the point where repairs are worth the cost, or when it simply can no longer keep your home comfortable. Our team assesses your existing system, works out the correct capacity for a new unit, and carries the project through to a full installation. Because homes across Lisbon Falls, ME vary in layout and insulation, we base sizing on your specific property rather than a one-size-fits-all number.
Why Replacement Is Worth Considering
As air conditioners age, their efficiency drops off, often pushing summer utility bills higher even as comfort gets worse. Older equipment is also far more likely to fail without warning during the hottest days of the year — the exact moment you need it most. In many cases, continuing to patch up a system well beyond its useful life ends up costing more across several seasons than one well-planned replacement.
How We Handle Every Replacement
Inspecting Your Current System
We look at your air conditioner's age, condition, and repair history to help decide whether replacement genuinely makes sense.
Calculating The Right Load
We run a proper load calculation based on your home's square footage and layout, so the new unit is sized correctly instead of estimated.
Removing The Old Equipment
Your old air conditioner is disconnected and taken out with careful attention to refrigerant handling and safe electrical disconnection.
Installing The New Unit
The replacement system is installed and wired to manufacturer specifications, and every connection gets checked before it's powered on.
Confirming Everything Works
We run the new system through a complete cooling cycle and verify correct performance before wrapping up the visit.
